But today i’m finally sharing our completed modern coastal living room makeover with you and i couldn’t be more excited! The entire room is perfection. Here are some of the important design elements.

The rug is a 8’x10′ wool hand tufted rug from outrageous interiors. The obvious reason is that blue is the same color as the ocean. Crafted from 100% polypropylene, this area rug's braided weave adds a touch of texture to your decor, while this rug's light blue palette is just right for adding contrast to a rich hardwood or tile floor.

On an opposing wall, we added the teak arched floor mirror, which gave me the perfect coastal farmhouse feel. The gorgeous coffee table uses wood and metal, a common blend of the farmhouse style, while the lighting fixture utilizes a more coastal style of wood. The light rug and round coffee table make the room feel larger but cozy at the same time.

The kitchen opens into a great room with outdoor living area on either side; I added the neutral tone konya rug because i wanted to soften up the room. A woven rug will look natural in a farmhouse living room.
